spring came early

despite what the groundhogs may have declared...

for a while now, my friend Kami and I have a little tradition of pulling animal cards at NYE, one for each month of the coming year. at the start of every month, we revisit the cards we pulled and check out what the cards hold for us for the coming month! it’s a lovely way of setting intentions and reflecting mindfully on the different seasons of life. February’s card, for me, was the bear. the bear is meant to be about coming out of a loooong hibernation, coming into a “springtime” of your life. spring, had indeed, come early for me.

every month or chapter that passes, I come closer and closer to being a “me” that I recognize again (gee, it’s almost like that’s just how healing goes…) and I am leaning heavily into the rejuvenating spring-y-ness of it all! work is flowing, life is flowing, art is flowing.

a highlight - of course, is my e-course pilot, Anthropology of Your Inner World, and the most magical cohort of people giving it a try for the first time.

trust is earned but trust is also given, and they ‘ve given it to me so so generously! diving into my modules and exercises and ideas with zest and vigour and consideration! I want to share some of the incredible collaging that’s been happening through the e-course:

we’ve been collecting, noticing, playing, and getting super curious and reflective about our inner worlds! it’s been so so deeply special to see everyone’s unique takes on the different exercises. I LOVE THE WAY OUR BRAINS WORK! I LOVE being invited into your inner worlds this way! witnessing folks share themselves thru this e-course pilot has been so invigorating and such a privilege! I did not know how much joy this e-course adventure would bring me.

I can’t wait to see what they all come up with next!

if you didn’t sign up for the pilot but remain curious about the course, do not fret! once the pilot is over we’re going to be doing some fine tuning of things then launching it out for everyone to access! so stay tuned :)

some other things that have been adding a spring-y energy to my steps:

• some very cool projects for some very cool clients: a secret project to do with genetic modifications, some album art for some incredible musicians….

• witnessing my nervous rescue dog get braver every day!

• an IRL workshop happening at Issues Magazine Shop here in Toronto TOMORROW!

• new-ish friends who also still wear masks in public spaces and invite me vintage shopping

• my work-work organization, The Bitove Method, starting to really thrive and expand

• warp-scanning vintage postcards and such (see below!)

and so - the season outside begins to catch up with the season of my inner world, and i can only imagine that things will only get brighter as the days get longer and temperatures rise. may we all set foot into a springtime of life and may we all welcome this season with the right mix of gentlenesss and energy that you need at this moment in time. that is my biggest wish for you.
